Garment Sample Development Services in Bangladesh

A sample is where a buyer's idea becomes a garment that can be judged, costed and approved. At Siatex Bangladesh, sample development is a dedicated service with its own sample room, its own machinists and pattern masters, and one clear rule: the sample you approve is the standard the bulk order is made to.

We develop samples for private label brands, importers and retail buying teams who need to see, measure and wear-test a style before committing to production in Bangladesh. Every round is sewn, measured, photographed and reported by the same team that will follow your bulk order, so nothing learned at the sample table is lost later.

Our sample room serves programmes in the USA, the UK, Germany, Canada and Australia, and a growing number of ranges for Spain, Italy, Sweden and Saudi Arabia. Send a tech pack, a reference garment or even a clear photograph with measurements - the first sample starts from what you have.

Garment Sample Development Services in Bangladesh for Private Label Brands

Good sampling is a sequence, not a single garment. Each round answers a different question – does it look right, does it fit right, does the fabric and colour behave, does the full size range hold together – and the sections below walk through the rounds in the order your style will meet them.

1. Proto Sample Development From Your Tech Pack or Reference Garment

The first sample, the proto, is made from your tech pack, your reference garment or your sketch with measurements. Its job is to prove the construction and the overall look: pattern shape, stitch types, seam finishes and proportions, sewn in the closest available fabric when the exact bulk fabric is still being sourced.

Proto samples leave Dhaka with a measurement report against your chart and our technician’s notes on anything that should change before the next round. Buyers who open a project through our research and development service arrive at this round with the specification already settled, which makes the proto a confirmation rather than an experiment.

2. Fit Sample Checking and Measurement Control for Clothing Brands

Once the look is right, the fit sample is measured point by point against your chart and checked on the dress form or a fit model. Every out-of-tolerance measurement is reported with the pattern correction we propose, so your comments come back to a team that has already diagnosed the problem.

Fit rounds repeat until the garment is signed off. Children’s styles get the same measurement discipline with the safety rules of their market built in from the first round, which is how our kids’ clothing programmes keep fit and compliance moving together instead of correcting one against the other.

3. Fabric, Colour and Lab Dip Sampling for Garment Production

Alongside the garment rounds, the fabric itself is sampled. Lab dips are prepared against your Pantone or physical colour standard, strike-offs prove print and embroidery placement on the real base fabric, and hand-feel and wash behaviour are checked on the actual production quality rather than on a showroom substitute.

Where the bulk fabric is knitted or dyed for your order, sampling follows the bulk route from the start – the same mill, the same dye standard, the same finishing – so the colour you approve on the dip is the colour that arrives in the cutting room.

4. Print and Embroidery Sample Approval for Private Label Clothing

Decoration is sampled on the production fabric, never on a loose swatch of something similar. Screen print, heat transfer, DTF and embroidery samples are made at final size and position, photographed beside your artwork, and measured against your placement instructions before you are asked to approve them.

This is the round where small problems are cheap: a chest print two centimetres low, an embroidery thread shade that shifts under shop lighting. Hooded and fleece programmes use this round heavily, and our hoodies buyers usually approve decoration and fit in the same courier cycle to keep the season moving.

5. Size Set Samples and Grading Verification for Bulk Orders

Before bulk cutting, a size set proves the grading across your full range. One garment in every size is sewn and measured, and the jumps between sizes are checked against your grading rules – a style that fits beautifully in medium can still fail at the ends of the range if the grade is wrong.

Size sets matter most where one block serves several markets. A range selling in Germany and the USA often runs different size labelling on the same graded pattern, and the size set is where that mapping is proven on real garments, not on paper.

6. Pre Production Sample Approval Before Bulk Garment Manufacturing

The last round is the pre-production sample: the complete garment in the exact bulk fabric, trims, labels and packaging, measured and checked against everything approved before it. This is the garment your bulk order will be inspected against, and one signed copy stays with our quality team as the reference standard.

Nothing is cut in bulk before this sample is approved. It is the same discipline whether the order is a first trial or a repeat season of a proven style like our fleece pullovers, because the PP sample is what turns a season of sampling decisions into one clear instruction for the production floor.

Sample Development for Clothing Buyers in the USA, UK, Germany and Australia

Sampling calendars are driven by selling seasons, and seasons differ by market. A German winter programme needs its PP sample approved while a United States spring range is still at fit stage, and Australian buyers work a full season ahead of the northern calendar because their summer is Europe’s winter.

Our sample room plans those calendars with you at the start of the project: how many styles, which rounds each style needs, and the courier days between Dhaka and your office built into the schedule. One development partner, one sample standard, and a range that reaches bulk production with its selling season still intact – that is what the service is for, and it runs the same way across our sweatshirts and wider knitwear programmes.
